Since the Barcelona International AIDS Conference in 2000, the YouthForce, a coalition of youth organizations from around the world, has been viewed as pivotal in keeping youth issues at the forefront of the international HIV/AIDS agenda. At this year's IAC in Washington, DC, the YouthForce has another chance to empower youth, advocate for current and critical issues affecting young people worldwide, and recommend current and new approaches for an effective global HIV/AIDS response that engages youth. Use this space to learn more about YouthForce activities, connect with other youth attending the conference, and identify what you can do to help strengthen the voice of youth at the conference.
With the International AIDS Conference taking place in Washington, DC (July 22-27, 2012), the YouthForce, in collaboration with the conference’s Youth Programme, has another chance to empower young people and advocate for current and critical issues affecting youth worldwide. The Washington DC YouthForce is composed of five committees through which we plan to carry out our activities.
